Background:
In an increasingly data-driven world, Africa’s youth must lead the continent’s transformational growth in all aspects. Young statisticians are pivotal in harnessing the power of data through effective research and project implementation to drive informed decision-making and sustainable development. However, many young African statisticians are challenged in translating their innovative ideas into actionable projects due to limited experience in writing fundable proposals for impactful implementation in statistical development.
Recognizing the need to address these challenges, the Takwimu Young African Statisticians Programme is organizing a webinar titled “Preparing fundable and implementable Project Proposals for impactful Statistical Development in Africa”. With a view of building a community of skilled, confident, and connected professionals capable of advancing evidence-based solutions to local challenges, the webinar will provide participants with essential knowledge and practical skills to enable them secure funding and implement impactful statistical projects. Moreover, it aims to underscore the unique role young statisticians play in shaping Africa’s development by advancing evidence-based solutions to local challenges.
